Telephone Town Hall Meeting

A Telephone Town Hall Meeting (TTHM) was held on Thursday, May 30, to provide an update on the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas (KBHCCD) Master Plan and share project progress with the public.

The meeting was well-attended, with 5,627 residents accepting the call and a maximum of 3,934 participants on the call at one time. Below are the poll results from the meeting:

    • Employment and Business Opportunities - 36%

    • Improved Facilities - 21%

    • Connecting Communities - 31%

    • Other - 12%

    • Ride DART - 43%

    • Drive and pay to park - 22%

    • Walk from a nearby hotel, office, or residence - 19%

    • Rideshare like Lyft or Uber - 14%

    • Dockless shared vehicle like a scooter - 3%

    • Performing arts events like The Black Academy of Arts and Letters - 35%

    • Staycation with dining, shopping, recreational, or spa amenities - 18%

    • Sporting events like a WNBA Dallas Wings game - 17%

    • Other - 6%
