City of Dallas Issues RFQ for Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) Services for Components 3 and 4 of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas (KBHCCD) Expansion

Dallas – The City of Dallas Convention and Event Services Department (CES) has released a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) Services for Component 3 (Dallas Memorial Arena) and Component 4 (The Black Academy of Arts & Letters/TBAAL) of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas (KBHCCD) expansion project as of Friday, August 30, 2024. 

The RFQ advertisements are for construction management firms to submit their qualifications for Components 3 & 4 of the KBHCCD Master Plan. This phase will move from conceptual designs to implementable construction plans, with the other components being handled separately. 

The solicitation aligns with the City’s objectives of fostering equity, sustainability, and economic growth while delivering a world-class convention center that strengthens community ties. 

Key Dates: 

  • Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024: Deadline to submit Questions 

  • Friday, Oct. 18, 2024: Deadline RFQ submittal deadline
